Use BlockChat only as intended: capture and send screenshots and videos from inside Minecraft to your friends. Do not hack or misuse the mod or our servers. Do not spam, bypass rate limits, or upload media that was not captured from Minecraft. We may suspend accounts that break these rules or harm the service.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of BlockChat, including our website, APIs, WebSocket endpoints, and the BlockChat Minecraft mod (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use BlockChat.
BlockChat provides a social layer for Minecraft that lets you send screenshots and videos to people you connect with through the product. Features, availability, and behavior may change as we develop the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with or without notice where permitted by law.
You may use BlockChat only for its intended purpose:
You are solely responsible for all media that you send through BlockChat, including making sure you have the right to send it and that it complies with these Terms and applicable law.
Any other use of the mod, our software, or our infrastructure—including repurposing the mod for unrelated automation, scraping, or integration not expressly allowed by us—is outside permitted use unless we give you written permission.
You must not:
We may investigate suspected violations. We may take action we consider appropriate, including warning you, removing content, rate-limiting or throttling your access, temporarily or permanently suspending your account or device identifiers, or terminating your access to the Service. We may do so with or without prior notice where we believe it is necessary to protect the Service or other users, or as required by law.
You understand that repeated or serious violations (including spam, bypassing limits, or attempting to send non-Minecraft media through restricted channels) may result in suspension or a permanent ban from the platform.
BlockChat is an independent project and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft, or Minecraft. Your use of Minecraft and Microsoft services remains subject to their respective terms and policies. You are responsible for complying with them in addition to these Terms.
The Service, including the BlockChat name, branding, mod, and server-side software, is owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the Service only as permitted by these Terms. You retain rights to content you create; by using the Service you grant us the rights reasonably necessary to operate BlockChat (for example, to store, transmit, and display your snaps to recipients you choose).
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY), OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50), EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
You agree to defend and indemnify us and our affiliates against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, to the extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where practical. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different process.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access under these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute terms) will survive termination.
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise. Venue for disputes lies in the courts that have jurisdiction over the matter under those laws, where permitted.
